The waste operator in Sverdlovsk Oblast is being replaced.
From November 1, waste removal from the western districts of Sverdlovsk Oblast, including Revda, Nizhnie Sergi, Krasnoufimsk and Pervouralsk, will be handled by "EcoPark", the press service of the Russian Environmental Operator (REO) reports.
— "EcoPark" will serve 16 municipal zones and will replace the temporary regional operator — "Spetsavtobaza". A fleet of 105 garbage trucks has been assembled for the operation, and contracts have been signed with carriers and contractors, REO noted.
"EcoPark" received a ten-year contract to serve 22 municipalities following the results of a tender held by the region’s Ministry of Energy and Housing and Communal Services, which concluded at the end of April. All other bids, except the one submitted by "EcoPark", were declared non-compliant with the requirements, EAN clarifies.
Earlier it was reported that an eco-cluster for waste sorting will open in Verkhnyaya Pyshma in two years.
