Rescuers warned Sverdlovsk residents about icy conditions.
According to meteorologists, on Wednesday, November 5, heavy snow and icy conditions are expected in parts of the Sverdlovsk Region. This was reported on Tuesday by the regional Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations' Telegram channel.
Rescuers recommend that city residents choose non-slip footwear and move cautiously, placing the entire sole on the ground. Motorists are also advised to urgently switch to winter tires and not to leave their cars near trees or poorly secured structures.
As meteorologist Alexey Pulin writes on his "Weather in Yekaterinburg" Telegram channel, overnight air temperature in Yekaterinburg fell to -12°C.
According to him, snow in the western districts of the region will begin closer to midnight. Precipitation in the form of moderate snowfalls will continue across the Sverdlovsk Region throughout November 5.
