The truck had entered the colony grounds to pick up wooden items. During a vehicle inspection, officers of the Federal Penitentiary Service (GUFSIN) discovered an arsenal of weapons in the driver's cabin.
— An AK assault rifle with ammunition, a hand grenade, a deactivated pistol with two magazines, a tactical helmet, a tactical backpack, a pouch with medical supplies, radios with batteries, mobile phones and accessories were found, the press service of GUFSIN for the Sverdlovsk Region reported.
Interior Ministry (MVD) officers went to the scene and took the items from the driver. The information was forwarded to the regional FSB directorate and the National Guard (Rosgvardiya).
A criminal case was opened against the driver on charges of illegal possession and transportation of weapons and ammunition, and illegal possession, transportation or carrying of explosive devices.
