In Yekaterinburg, heating prices will increase significantly — document.
The authorities of Sverdlovsk Oblast have approved a plan for the gradual increase of heating tariffs in Yekaterinburg from 2025 to 2029. From now on residents and city enterprises will begin to pay more for heat until, by the end of that period, the price reaches a "market" level. The corresponding document was published on the official legal information portal of Sverdlovsk Oblast.
Yekaterinburg is now being moved into the so‑called "heat supply price zone." The increase was decided to be spread over several years so as not to shock the population.
From now on the "maximum price level" for thermal energy — the highest price that heat-supplying companies can charge consumers — will be gradually raised. In fact, this is the tariff that consumers pay for heating and hot water, Ura.Ru clarifies.
The increase will affect all Yekaterinburg consumers: residents of apartment buildings and private houses, enterprises and organizations. The main heat suppliers in the city are T Plus and the Yekaterinburg Heat Network Company.
For the majority of T Plus consumers connected to the heat networks (this is the majority of city residents), the increase will proceed as follows:
- 2nd half of 2025 / 1st half of 2026: pay 66.34% of the future price.
- 2nd half of 2026 / 1st half of 2027: 63.86% (there may be a slight dip or adjustment).
- 2nd half of 2027 / 1st half of 2028: 88.93% (a significant price rise begins).
- 2nd half of 2028 / 1st half of 2029: 94.31% (almost the maximum).
- 2nd half of 2029: 100%. The increase is complete.
For some consumers the transition period will be even shorter; they will begin paying 100% from 2027. The first changes to the tariffs will take effect in the near future.
And here is the document itself:
By the way, the public was previously assured that "the investment surcharge would not exceed 3%."
