In the Sverdlovsk region, a malamute mauled a dog to death in front of a small child.

      In Severouralsk a malamute attacked a chihuahua in front of the owner and her 5-year-old son. The injuries were very serious, so the injured dog had to be euthanized. This was reported by the press service of the courts of the Sverdlovsk Region.

      The wounded pet was taken to a veterinary clinic. Despite surgery, a week of treatment and subsequent hospitalization at a Yekaterinburg veterinary clinic, Richie could not be saved, the agency said.

      The dog's owner filed a lawsuit in the Severouralsk City Court. It turned out that the homeless malamute had been taken in by a female volunteer. The dog lived in the enclosure of a private house but escaped. The court ordered the malamute's owners to pay 172,000 rubles for the injured dog's treatment costs, compensation and court fees.

      Earlier in Nizhny Tagil a pack of dogs attacked a schoolgirl. A criminal case was opened afterward.
