A teacher who had been strangling children was arrested in Yekaterinburg.
The Leninsky District Court of Yekaterinburg remanded 33-year-old teacher Artyom Vaganov, who had strangled children with a bag, to custody. He has been charged with attempted murder, Ura.Ru reports.
The investigation asked the court to place the suspect in pretrial detention. The judge granted the petition. Vaganov will be held in custody until January 19, 2026.
Earlier it was reported that pupils of a balalaika teacher from Yekaterinburg complained that the educator had strangled them. Parents went to the police, and the materials were forwarded to the Investigative Committee. According to the Telegram channel Baza, the teacher imitated Soviet serial killer Anatoly Slivko, who used to take children on hikes and then strangle and resuscitate his victims. Slivko ultimately killed seven boys.
