In Yekaterinburg, the credit cooperative "Sodeystvie" announced the suspension of its activities.
On November 19, 2025 the Central Bank of the Russian Federation decided to remove the credit consumer cooperative (CPC) “Sodeystvie” (Yekaterinburg) from the register of credit cooperatives. This means that CPC “Sodeystvie” must cease attracting savings and accepting additions to savings under existing contracts, and must fully return savers’ deposits within 360 days.
The cooperative was stripped of the right to carry out activities due to repeated violations over the year of the federal law “On Credit Cooperation,” reports RBC.
CPC “Sodeystvie” did not provide any credit bureau with the information necessary to compile the credit histories of the cooperative’s members. The CPC also did not return a member’s share upon termination of membership in the manner prescribed by federal law.
Through its PR service, the chairman of the board of CPC “Sodeystvie,” Alexey Lashko, told the media that the news of the exclusion from the register came as a surprise to the cooperative and that “Sodeystvie” will seek a review of the decision. Lashko assured that the CPC has sufficient funds to settle with savers.
“This is by no means our first inspection. And we have always been in dialogue with the regulator. We held meetings once a quarter and responded to all requests. In the summer of 2025 there was another inspection by the Bank of Russia. The regulator issued a list of remarks. In response we submitted a protocol of disagreements and, as usual, awaited an answer. No response was received from the Bank of Russia. And three months later the Bank of Russia unilaterally just removed us from the register. Frankly speaking, we did not expect this ourselves — we will look into it.
Yes, of course, we will seek a review of the decision. The cooperative ‘Sodeystvie’ has been operating for 20 years, we have guarantees and protections for the interests of our members. The whole team is currently engaged in consolidating the reserve fund and income from the loan portfolio. And we have sufficient capital to settle with savers,” reads the statement from the chairman of the board of CPC “Sodeystvie” received by the Uralweb editorial office.
“We understand that this news causes concern, therefore we assure you that the cooperative is taking all necessary measures to protect the rights and interests of our savers. At present we are actively interacting with the regulator and the SRO to ensure the most transparent and timely resolution of all issues related to the return of savings.
For 45 days (through January 3, 2026 inclusive) interest on savings will continue to accrue in the usual manner at the contractual rate, and the terms of expiring contracts are extended through January 3, 2026 inclusive. Starting January 4, 2026 interest accrual will be stopped in accordance with the requirements of paragraph 1 of part 1 of Article 10.1 of the Federal Law “On Credit Cooperation,” and the cooperative will begin settlements with savers,” the CPC “Sodeystvie” message says.
All current information is posted only on the official information channels of CPC “Sodeystvie.” You can also contact them by phone at 8-800-500-07-43 and by email at [email protected].
