The laying of park paths along Chkalov Street has already been completed, lighting and video surveillance systems have been installed, a dog-walking area, three children’s play areas and outdoor workout areas have been arranged. Almost 400 trees and the same number of shrubs have been planted.
In winter, work will continue in another part of the park. "As soon as stable frosts set in, the contractor will begin clearing the water feature," the city administration said in a statement.
The third stage will involve improving the park on the side facing Yasnaya and Shaumyana streets. In this part of the park, two children’s playgrounds and recreation areas are planned.
"Everything that residents asked to be done first and that was agreed on in the project has been completed," Alexey Orlov said as he summarized his inspection of the site.
