The Kirov District Court of Yekaterinburg fined journalist Vladimir Raevsky* (*included by the Russian Ministry of Justice in the register of foreign agents) for violating the procedure for the activities of a foreign agent, writes URA.RU citing the court’s press service.
Roskomnadzor drew up a protocol against Raevsky* for the absence of the required “foreign agent” label in the agent’s publications, reports the Telegram channel SVET Yekaterinburg.
According to the court register, he was fined 30,000 rubles under Article 19.34 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation, “Violation of the procedure for the activities of a foreign agent,” reports URA.RU.
Raevsky* began his career in Yekaterinburg as a correspondent for the program “Morning Express” on the “Fourth Channel.”
In 2008 he moved to Moscow, where he gained experience working as a producer, editor and presenter. Since 2022 Raevsky* has been living abroad.
The Ural resident was recognized as a foreign agent on January 31. The journalist opposed the special military operation and worked with an organization whose activities have been declared undesirable in the Russian Federation.
Today the Kirov District Court also fined 30,000 rubles former Yekaterinburg journalist Dmitry Kolezezv* (included in the Ministry of Justice’s list of foreign agents and in Rosfinmonitoring’s register of extremists and terrorists) under Part 2 of Article 19.34 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (failure by a foreign agent to provide to the authorized body the information required by the legislation of the Russian Federation on foreign agents).
