A former traffic police officer from Sverdlovsk who strangled his friend in a car has left for the special military operation.
The former traffic police inspector from Verkhoturye, Vadim, who was placed in pretrial detention for the murder of 38-year-old Marat Gaynetdinov, has gone to fight in the special military operation.
"He went to the front 10–12 days ago," a source told Ura.Ru.
There have been no official comments from the security forces on the matter yet.
According to Ura.Ru, Vadim and a friend were taken to a pretrial detention center on October 4. According to investigators, they brutally killed Marat. The victim had come to visit him from Yekaterinburg, and when he began to get ready to leave, a conflict broke out between them that ended in tragedy.
Earlier in the Sverdlovsk region, prison staff helped solve the murder of a child committed 23 years ago.
