A man frozen into the ice was found on a lake in the Urals
December 1, 2025 — The body of a 61-year-old man was found on Lake Maloe Miassovo in the Chelyabinsk region. He died after stepping onto thin ice, the regional search and rescue service reported.
The man was found this past weekend. Rescuers' work was complicated by the fact that the body was frozen into the surface of the lake. Using splash-protection suits, specialists transported the body to shore and handed it over to the police, writes the EAN publication.
