In Yekaterinburg, an important street was opened near the Kalina concern.

      On December 2, authorities in Yekaterinburg opened traffic on the section of Komsomolskaya Street from Bibliotechnaya Street to the interchange at the Kalina concern, the mayor’s press service reported.

      Recall that the opening was postponed several times. The last time the date was pushed back by literally a day. At the time, officials said the reason was poor weather conditions.

      — The passage was opened at 14:00 on December 2. Traffic began to run on the repaired section, — the mayor’s office clarified.

      Earlier we reported that the interchange at Kalina is planned to be completed next year. The mayor of Yekaterinburg, Alexey Orlov, said on E1.RU that the new deadline for completing the project is the end of 2026. The contractor will not be changed, despite the criminal case.

      Recall that the administration extended the contract until the autumn of 2027. The project’s completion dates were postponed several times — originally the interchange was planned to open for Yekaterinburg’s 300th anniversary in 2023. During that time the project’s cost rose from 6.6 to 8.8 billion rubles.

      There was also information that in Ufa the general director of AlmakorGroup LLC, Alexey Afonsky, was arrested. He is the contractor for the construction of the interchange at Kalina in Yekaterinburg. He is accused of fraud on a particularly large scale. The accused may face imprisonment of up to 10 years.
