On Bali a cat named Masya saved her owners — a family from Yekaterinburg — from a venomous snake.
"The family from Yekaterinburg did not want to be separated from Masya on vacation — they took her with them, and not in vain. The cat clashed with a green viper one evening and prevented it from getting into the house. In response the snake bit the animal; the owners found Masya trembling in a pool of blood," reports the Mash Telegram channel.
After the incident the cat spent three days in intensive care with swelling. But later she recovered, so now the animal is fine.
Earlier we reported how a viper died after biting a drunken man.

"The green viper has a weak venom that does not pose a danger to humans. The venom of this snake acts as a neurotoxin, paralyzing small animals it catches. However, its bite is not lethal to humans and usually causes only minor local reactions, such as redness or swelling. This snake cannot be considered aggressive, and it rarely bites people unless provoked or frightened."
