A passenger of a VAZ-2112 was killed yesterday morning in an accident near Bogdanovich.
A passenger in a domestic passenger car was killed yesterday, December 23, as a result of a collision at the 79th kilometer of the Yekaterinburg–Tyumen highway, the Russian State Traffic Inspectorate for the Sverdlovsk Region reported.
The road traffic accident occurred at about 10:50 a.m. in the Bogdanovichsky District. According to preliminary findings, the driver of a VAZ-2112 chose a speed that was not appropriate for the road and weather conditions, lost control of the vehicle and crossed into the oncoming lane, where he collided with two cars — a LADA Largus and a LADA Vesta.
As a result of the incident, a 45-year-old passenger in the VAZ-2112 was killed. The driver of that vehicle, a 54-year-old resident of Tavda, was taken to hospital with injuries. Both men were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.
Traffic inspectors established that the driver has 30 years of driving experience. His condition will be determined following an examination at the hospital.
The LADA Largus was driven by a 60-year-old woman from Yekaterinburg with 25 years of driving experience. The LADA Vesta was driven by a 73-year-old resident of the Sukholozhsky District with 40 years of driving experience.
