The controversial project for a 34-story "candle" in Botanika has appeared on Dom.rf
The situation surrounding the construction of a multi-storey building by developer Baden Family in the overcrowded block of the Botanichesky neighborhood continues to evolve. But in which direction is still completely unclear. While authorities assure residents they will sort everything out, the project for the scandalous new building has appeared on the Dom.rf portal.
The building at 8 Marta Street, 204 was posted on Dom.rf in the "New Buildings" section yesterday, December 23. The general contractor is listed as Uraltechstroy LLC. The developer is listed as the same LLC "SZ (specialized developer — ed. note) Botanika Green House by Baden Family." It plans to hand over the keys to apartment buyers in spring 2029.
The developer's portfolio lists one building under construction with 301 apartments. The 34‑storey, single‑entrance "comfort" class building will contain studios, 1-, 2- and 3‑room apartments and 250 non‑residential premises.
Meanwhile, during the live Q&A, the head of Yekaterinburg, Alexey Orlov, personally commented on the Botanica construction issue. "We agreed that after the New Year holidays we will hold an on‑site meeting at the construction site," the mayor reminded.
On the day the developer posted its project on Dom.rf, Deputy Minister of Construction of the Sverdlovsk Region Evgenia Telezhuk met with activists. Governor Denis Pasler instructed the ministry to look into the problem.
Residents who attended the meeting said the conversation was not easy, but noted that, in their opinion, Evgenia Vladimirovna is sincerely intent on finding a solution.
Participants of the initiative group also said that representatives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the prosecutor's office, the State Traffic Inspectorate, as well as the Botanical Garden of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, which borders the land plot, confirmed their intention to take part in the on‑site meeting in January.
Recall that residents of the Botanika Green House residential complex are sounding the alarm over the construction planned by Baden. Their developer, Sinara‑Development, sold the remaining vacant plot — where a guest parking lot could have been — to the Baden Family company. It intends to build its first building there. Moreover, due to the overcrowding of the block, emergency and ambulance vehicles can already barely reach the multi‑storey buildings via the narrow street.
Earlier it emerged that the Sverdlovsk Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia had opened a criminal case over alleged violations. In those same days, the head of the city's Department of Architecture, Ruslan Gabdrakhmanov, personally met with members of the residents' initiative group.
