All the money was debited from a bank card of a pensioner in the Urals to pay a non-existent debt.
A pensioner from Chelyabinsk is trying to recover money that was debited from her bank card for a non‑existent debt. This was reported by State Duma deputy Valery Gartung.
According to him, the elderly woman had taken out a loan from a bank long ago, but she repaid it. Several years later the financial organization filed a lawsuit seeking to collect an allegedly unpaid debt of 39,000 rubles, as well as penalties. The decision was made in absentia, so the pensioner only learned about it after all the money had disappeared from her card.
“My assistants filed a petition with the court. As a result of its consideration the decision to collect the debt was overturned. To now get the money back it is necessary to seek a reversal of the court decision, and that will take several more months,” EAN quotes Valery Gartung as saying.
Earlier we reported how a woman from the Urals had all her accounts blocked because she was collecting money for New Year’s gifts.
