An intoxicated man with a knife in Yekaterinburg attempted to enter a Wildberries parcel pickup point, but during the incident he injured himself. According to a source from URA.RU in the emergency services, he intended to attack a young man but was detained by police.
The young man, fleeing from the aggressive man, ran into the pickup point and held the door to prevent the assailant from entering. At the moment the latter was pulling the handle, he cut his hand, the agency’s source clarified.
The incident occurred on the evening of January 6 on Shaumyana Street. The offender turned out to be a 37-year-old resident of Yekaterinburg. Two administrative reports were drawn up against him — for petty hooliganism and for drinking alcohol in a public place. After that, the man was handed over to medics for assistance, the press service of the Russian Interior Ministry in Yekaterinburg reported.
Wildberries commented on the situation, noting that they are in contact with the owner of the pickup point to clarify all the circumstances. The pickup point continues to operate as usual. As the marketplace’s press service emphasized, the incident occurred outside the partner pickup point, the pickup point employee was unharmed and called the police in a timely manner.
The day before, it was reported that Bastrykin had taken the case of a brawl between migrants and Russian citizens at a Wildberries warehouse in Yekaterinburg under his control.
