Restrictions on the movement of passenger buses, route taxis and freight vehicles on the M-5 "Ural" highway in the Chelyabinsk Region have been extended until the end of the day, the press service of FKU Uprdor "Southern Ural" reported.
This applies to the section of the road from kilometer 1799 in the Chebarkul area to kilometer 1548 at the border with the Chelyabinsk Region — the temporary ban will be in force there until 17:00 local time. Drivers are asked to take this information into account when planning their routes.
Road services have deployed all necessary equipment to clear snow and treat the roadway. On the M-5 section toward Yekaterinburg the situation remains stable and traffic is running without restrictions.
The ban was originally imposed on January 11 from 8:00 to 14:00. Traffic police crews are on duty at key sections of the highway, directing drivers to safe parking areas and monitoring compliance with the restrictions.
