Thousands of illegal migrants who came to earn a living were sent back from Sverdlovsk Oblast.
In 2025, 2,065 foreign nationals were deported from Sverdlovsk Oblast to their home countries after being illegally present on Russian territory, the press service of the regional office of the Federal Bailiff Service reported. According to the agency, since the beginning of 2025 bailiffs have carried out the administrative deportation of 2,065 foreigners who violated Russia’s migration laws. They all came to the region to work. The offenders were held liable under Article 18.8 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation — for failure to comply with the rules of entry into Russia or the conditions of stay. The court imposed administrative fines on them, and prior to deportation the foreigners were held in temporary detention centers for foreign nationals.
