In Yekaterinburg, schools have begun introducing remote learning amid expected anomalous cold. Parents of pupils at Gymnasium No. 37 have already been notified about the switch to an online format.
The notice states that on Thursday, January 22, frosts of up to −34°C are forecast, so classes will be held remotely. Students are advised to follow the assignments posted in the electronic diary.
According to "Signal Ural", similar measures are planned for other educational institutions in the city. In some schools remote learning may be extended to Friday, January 23 — the decision will depend on weather conditions.
Recall that each school independently determines the format of instruction depending on the temperature regime.
Temperatures of around −40°C are expected in the region before the weekend. In Yekaterinburg it will be about −30°C.
