A Yekaterinburg resident who fell into a coma in Thailand after a tooth extraction will be transferred to Moscow.
Doctors approved the transportation to the capital of 29-year-old Ekaterina Panova, who fell into a coma in Thailand. This was reported by Ekaterinburg resident Alena, Ekaterina's sister.
The transportation of Ekaterina will cost 350,000 rubles, Alena said. They plan to transfer Ekaterina Panova from Chonburi to Moscow on Monday, March 23.
"My sister is currently in a stable but serious condition, in a medically induced coma, on a ventilator. The doctors are doing everything possible, but it is very important for us to transfer her home to Russia as soon as possible, where she can continue her treatment surrounded by loved ones," Alena wrote on her social media.
Ekaterina Panova was admitted to the intensive care unit of a Thai hospital with suspected blood infection. The girl's condition worsened after the removal of her wisdom tooth on February 22 at a local clinic covered by insurance. At the moment, money for the clinic's payment is being sent to the family by concerned individuals.
Last spring, a tragedy occurred in Thailand with another Ekaterinburg resident, 33-year-old Daria Tolstukhina. The girl fell into a coma and died, according to preliminary data, due to heart problems.
