The Sverdlovsk Regional Court issued a ruling regarding a woman who stabbed a 13-year-old girl.
The Sverdlovsk Regional Court on Thursday, March 19, issued a ruling on the application of compulsory medical measures in relation to a woman born in 2003, who killed the minor daughter of an acquaintance in Pervouralsk.
On the afternoon of October 9, 2024, Shakhnazakhon Sherali Kizi Usmanova came to her recent acquaintance under a minor pretext. At that time, only the 13-year-old daughter of the woman was at home. When the girl, deciding to show hospitality, went to the kitchen for tea, the guest remained in the room and opened a stranger's handbag that was lying there, intending to steal money from it.
At that moment, the girl returned to the room. She picked up her phone, but the guest snatched the mobile from the child's hands. Grabbing a knife, she dealt with the minor victim, set fire to the room, and left the apartment. Later, forensic experts counted 41 stab wounds on the body of the murdered girl.
According to the conclusion of the expert commission, the accused requires the application of compulsory medical measures, as at the time of committing the incriminated acts, she was suffering from a temporary mental disorder that deprived her of the ability to understand the factual nature and social danger of her actions and to control them.
The defendant will receive psychiatric assistance in a specialized inpatient facility.
