The embankment of Yekaterinburg is set for continuation and a large-scale reconstruction.
Yekaterinburg has signed a contract for the improvement of the embankment of the Iset and Olkhovka rivers in Yekaterinburg. The work will take place on the section from house No. 11 on Grazhdanskaya Street to Kolmogorov Street. The city's mayor, Alexey Orlov, reported this.
The improvement will be implemented in two stages. The area will feature sidewalks, running and cycling paths, as well as new green plantings—trees, shrubs, and perennials. To strengthen the slopes, the installation of gabion structures is planned. In addition, the project includes the creation of zones for quiet relaxation, children's games, and sports activities. To enhance comfort and safety, small architectural forms, modern lighting, and a video surveillance system will be installed.
In the near future, residents of the city will again be invited to choose public spaces for improvement. Voting will take place from April 21 to June 12.
