The music comedy theater is closing in Yekaterinburg.

      "We plan to start our works in early May. We are discussing options for staging performances. We are negotiating with colleagues from the Russian Railways regarding the use of the Railway Workers' Palace of Culture," said the region's Minister of Culture Ilya Markov during a press conference at TASS.

      At the same time, some productions will be adapted for the small stage of the theater. If the new theater building in Verkhnyaya Pyshma (which is across the road from the museum) is ready, and new equipment is acquired, which the musical comedy theater will then take to its renovated hall, there is a possibility that in January 2027, the musical comedy theater will "perform plays" in the new theater of Verkhnyaya Pyshma. It was previously reported that the musical comedy theater would close in May due to repairs to the upper mechanics of the stage and the roof.
