UrFU will temporarily stop accommodating students in new dormitories.

      Ural Federal University (UrFU) will temporarily suspend the accommodation of students in dormitories No. 1, 2, 4, and 5 from March 20 to September 20. The corresponding decision has been formalized by the order of the vice-rector for educational work.

      The university's press service explained to 66.RU that the measure is related to internal regulation of the distribution of places in the dormitories. Housing is planned to be provided as a priority to socially vulnerable categories of students—orphans, children of participants in the special military operation, combat veterans, as well as students with limited mobility. The university noted that such decisions are made in advance to avoid possible tension.

      In addition, UrFU reported that the dormitories of the Novokoltsovsky campus will be used to accommodate participants of the International Youth Festival.
