In Rezh, the court sentenced a local resident who, out of anger towards his cohabitant, caused lifelong suffering to her minor son. While in a state of alcohol intoxication, the accused, a previously convicted local resident born in 1982, found a piece of fabric on the balcony, soaked it in acetone, set it on fire with a lighter, and threw the burning fabric at his cohabitant's son, a child born in 2020. The minor suffered thermal burns to his face, scalp, and torso. The child developed a scar on his face and scalp.
The man was found guilty under Part 2 of Article 112 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (intentional infliction of moderate harm to health, resulting in irreversible disfigurement of the minor's face, using objects as weapons). He partially admitted his guilt.
A forensic psychiatric examination was conducted regarding the accused. According to its conclusion, the accused is sane. The court sentenced him to 3 years in a strict regime colony.
