A fatal traffic accident occurred on April 10 on the 36th kilometer of the Rzh - Artemovsky - Kilačevskoe road in the Nizhny Tagil district. According to the State Traffic Inspectorate, the accident happened around 5:00 PM.
It has been preliminarily established that the driver of a Mazda 3 lost control in snowy conditions on a long turn, crossed into the oncoming lane, and collided with a UAZ Patriot.
As a result of the collision, the 51-year-old driver of the car, a resident of Nizhny Tagil, died at the scene. His female passenger was hospitalized with injuries. Both were wearing seat belts.
The driver of the UAZ was a 30-year-old resident of Nizhny Tagil. The State Traffic Inspectorate noted that neither driver had previously been held accountable for traffic violations. However, administrative materials have been drawn up against the SUV driver for the absence of a diagnostic card, a route sheet, and a compulsory motor third-party liability insurance policy.
An investigation is underway regarding the incident, and all circumstances of the accident are being established.
