A twenty-year-old driver fatally hit a pedestrian in Vtorchermet (PHOTO)

      A pedestrian died last night on Vtorchermet under the wheels of a VAZ "five" driven by a young man.

      The fatal traffic accident occurred today, April 17, around 00:07 on Zenitchnikov Street, 98, reports the State Traffic Inspectorate of Yekaterinburg.

      According to preliminary data, the 20-year-old driver of the "VAZ-21053" vehicle, moving along Zenitchnikov Street towards Predelnaya Street, hit a pedestrian who was crossing the roadway at a regulated pedestrian crossing. The pedestrian, according to preliminary data, was moving on a red traffic light.

      From the injuries sustained, the man died before the arrival of the ambulance crew. His dark clothing lacked reflective elements. The identity of the deceased is currently being established by the police.

      Traffic inspectors have determined that the driver of the vehicle has 2 years of driving experience and has previously been held administratively responsible for traffic violations in Russia 8 times. According to the results of the examination, no signs of intoxication were found.

      An investigation into the traffic accident is underway.
