The relatives of the young mother who died due to the reckless driving of a Lexus driver have appealed to Bastrykin.
The victim's side appealed to the chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin, as they fear that the accused may evade responsibility due to having influential relatives. This was reported the evening before, on April 20, by the "Investigative Committee" channel in MAX.
Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin, instructed the acting head of the investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Sverdlovsk region, Anatoly Nadbitov, to present a report on the progress of the investigation into the criminal case and on the arguments voiced in the broadcast of the legal program, which reported on this high-profile traffic accident.
Recall that it was previously reported that the criminal case initiated by the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Sverdlovsk region regarding this accident will be investigated under paragraph "i" of part 2 of article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder motivated by hooliganism) and part 3 of article 30, subparagraphs "a", "b", "i" of part 2 of article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempted murder motivated by hooliganism against two or more persons, including a minor).
The 30-year-old young woman who died due to the Lexus driver's actions was buried on April 16. Doctors continue to fight for the life of her one-and-a-half-year-old son. As his relatives told "KP-Ekaterinburg," the boy has not yet regained consciousness and remains on a ventilator. Medical professionals assess his condition as stably severe.
