      In Yekaterinburg, the dismantling of the media screen on Vainera Street will begin in the coming days - this will be the first stage of a large-scale reconstruction of the city's main pedestrian street. This was reported by the publication 66.RU, citing informed sources.

      According to the publication's sources, the dismantling of the structure will start this week, despite the fact that the contractor for the street improvement has not yet been officially determined. The demolition of the media screen will be part of the reconstruction of the section of Vainera Street from Lenin Avenue to Malysheva Street. As clarified by a source familiar with the plan, the improvement will take place in two stages. The first will last until mid-2027 and will be financed from the municipal budget. In the second stage, in 2028, the company "Golden Apple" will join the project, which will develop the area taking into account its own concept.

      Thus, the external appearance of the street may change twice. It is assumed that the basis will be a project developed by a united consortium of designers, architects, and urban planners about five years ago; however, it will likely be refined. One of the key tasks is to prepare the street for the International Youth Festival, which will take place in September 2026.
