Trucks with ice cream have been deployed at the border with Russia.
A batch of 279.3 tons of ice cream and yogurt stabilizer of Kazakh origin was banned from being imported into Russia in the Chelyabinsk region, the Ural Interregional Office of Rosselkhoznadzor reported on Tuesday.
"During the document inspection, inspectors found that the veterinary certificates did not fully contain the information necessary to identify the production site from which the products were dispatched, which led to a loss of traceability of the products," the supervisory authority explained.
Twelve trucks were stopped and turned back near Troitsk.
In turn, frozen fish could not "leave" in the opposite direction—from Russia to Kazakhstan.
During the document inspection for the export of 2.5 tons of frozen sea fish, employees of the Rosselkhoznadzor found that the selling enterprises are not registered in the Customs Union (CU) registry and do not have the right to export food products to Kazakhstan as a CU country.
Based on the current legislation of the Russian Federation and the Eurasian Economic Union, the truck with the cargo was returned to the place of departure.
