Among the bodies exchanged between Russia and Ukraine, residents of Sverdlovsk were identified.
Among the deceased transferred to Russia by the Ukrainian side during the last exchange of the dead are the bodies of two residents of the Sverdlovsk region. This was reported by the chairwoman of the regional Union of Soldiers' Mothers Committees, Marina Lebedeva.
The genetic material matched the DNA of two servicemen from the Sverdlovsk region.
"The bodies of the servicemen are being delivered for identification to the 522nd Center for the Reception, Processing, and Sending of the Deceased in Rostov-on-Don. This time, there was a complete DNA match for two of the deceased. One of them is from Yekaterinburg; we have been searching for him for a year and a half. The second is from Revda; he went missing not long ago. In the coming days, the bodies will be delivered from Rostov to Yekaterinburg, and the funerals will take place," Marina Lebedeva told the EAN agency.
