The producer of the famous mayonnaise YJK has been nationalized.
The Khamovnichesky Court of Moscow granted the lawsuit of the Prosecutor General's Office against businessman Vadim Moshkovich. The assets of the holding "Rusagro," which include the Yekaterinburg Fat Plant (EJP), have been transferred to the state. This was reported by the Telegram channel UralLive.
The arrest of the businessman on charges of fraud became known a year ago. At that time, the EJP commented that the enterprise's activities continued in normal mode, and the arrest of the owner did not affect production activities.
As reported by the Khamovnichesky Court of Moscow on Tuesday, May 5, the shares of "Rusagro" owned by Moshkovich, shares of two other companies, as well as money from accounts in Russian banks (10.5 billion rubles, 1.8 million dollars, and 1.6 million euros) have been transferred to the state. The court partially granted the lawsuit of the Prosecutor General's Office, preserving a four-level apartment in Khamovniki and a country house in Rublevka in the ownership of the businessman's wife, Natalia Bykovskaya.
The property complex of the holding "Rusagro" includes a land fund of 823 thousand hectares, 12 factories, nine sugar production sites, and 20 pig farming complexes located in 15 regions, reports RIA Novosti.
The reason for the Prosecutor General's appeal to the court was Moshkovich's violations of anti-corruption legislation during his tenure as a senator from 2006 to 2014. During this period, he continued to own "Rusagro," as well as Cypriot offshore companies, which he used to withdraw capital abroad, while taking measures to conceal this fact.
