The mayor of Yekaterinburg, Alexey Orlov, on Thursday, May 7, introduced his new deputy Vadim Surovtsov to the city administration staff. Orlov noted that the staff of the deputy heads is now fully staffed.
Former prosecutor from Kurgan, ex-head of the control and auditing department of the city administration, Vadim Surovtsov began his work as the vice-mayor of Yekaterinburg the day before, on May 6.
“Vadim Yuryevich will oversee the Department of Finance, the Accounting Department, the Control and Auditing Department, and the consumer market sector will also come under his supervision,” Orlov told those gathered.
Previously, this area was managed by Vice-Mayor Dmitry Nozhenko, writes “URA.RU.”
“Dmitry Yuryevich will focus on issues of socio-economic development. It is necessary to refine the strategy for business support and interaction with industrial enterprises. The current situation in the economy is not very simple, and this will require increased attention,” Orlov explained his decision.
Earlier in January, the first deputy head of Yekaterinburg, Igor Sutyagin, resigned.
