A memorial plaque for the rock band "Agata Kristi" was unveiled on Thursday, May 7, in Yekaterinburg.
The plaque is installed on the building of the Institute of Radio Electronics and Information Technologies (IRIT-RTF) of the Ural Federal University named after B.N. Yeltsin, reports "Ъ-Ural".
The ceremony was attended by the band's leader Vadim Samoylov.
"Within these walls, in 1985, the creative path of the VIA 'RTF-UPI' began, which soon became the legendary band 'Agata Kristi'," reads the memorial plaque.
The event is timed to coincide with Radio Day, celebrated today, and the 40th anniversary of the Sverdlovsk Rock Club. The current year 2026 has been declared the Year of Ural Rock in Yekaterinburg.
