Foreigners brought 9 kg of snuff to Koltsovo in juice boxes "for personal use."
Customs officers in Koltsovo detained nearly 9 kilograms of nasvay from passengers on a flight from Namangan to Yekaterinburg. This was reported by the press service of the Koltsovo airport customs post.
The violators turned out to be two foreign citizens. During the baggage inspection, inspectors found 2.1 kilograms of smokeless tobacco product with one passenger and 7 kilograms of nasvay with the other. The latter hid the product in juice boxes.
As explained by the head of the Koltsovo airport customs post, Sergey Borovik, according to the rules of the Eurasian Economic Union, it is permitted to import no more than 250 grams of tobacco products for personal use.
— Thus, 2 kilograms of nasvay exceed the allowable norm by eight times, and 7 kilograms by 28 times.
At the same time, the batch of 7 kilograms became a record for 2026: previously, the largest shipment was considered to be 6 kilograms, Borovik noted.
Both passengers claimed that they were carrying nasvay for personal needs. Despite this, administrative cases were initiated against them for the article on the non-declaration of goods.
