The opening of the restaurant on Plotinka underwent another examination in Yekaterinburg.

      The historical and cultural expertise has approved the next stage of work on the creation of a restaurant in Yekaterinburg in the abandoned "Flowers" pavilion near the IZO museum, reports "URA.RU".

      The work involves the construction of engineering network sections for connection to existing communications, writes "URA.RU".

      The expertise deemed the distance (more than 30 meters) from the site of the main construction work to most nearby monuments sufficient. The latter refers to the buildings and structures of the "Monetka" factory (a federal significance ensemble), the factory hospital (where the IZO museum currently operates), the former city duma building at Malysheva, 46, the bridge over the Iset River, and other objects.

      Expert Sharpudin Khautiev concluded that no special actions are required for their protection; the proposed measures to ensure their preservation are sufficient.

      An exception is the identified cultural layer from the 18th to the early 20th centuries in the area of Malysheva - Voievodina streets. The expertise states that before the start of laying engineering communications, "work must be carried out to preserve the archaeological heritage object."

      Large-scale archaeological excavations took place on the site back in 2023. Scientists made numerous finds, including the discovery of stone masonry from the second half of the 18th century (1700s).

      The building at Malysheva, 31 "z", to which networks will be connected, was built in the late 1940s and was one of the first flower shops in Sverdlovsk. There, in the Historical Square, greenhouses were located (until they were removed during the square's reconstruction in the 1960s). In recent years, the building has been abandoned for a long time.

      In the 2000s, UGMK planned to build a 12-story "office" on this plot, but to the delight of museum workers, the project "stalled."

      In 2021, the pavilion was purchased by the daughter of the founder of the Russian Copper Company, Igor Altyshkin, restaurateur Elizaveta Velichkina. According to the plan, in addition to the restaurant, a flower shop may reopen there in the future, reports "URA.RU".
