In Yekaterinburg, one of the grocery retail chains has limited the sale of fresh cucumbers, reports the EAN agency, citing customer messages.
The restrictions were introduced, in particular, in the "Yarche" chain. There, as EAN writes, cucumbers cost only 69 rubles per kilogram, so, presumably, the sale is limited to 5 kilograms per person. However, the agency continues, in many locations there are already no cucumbers, including in the store on Lenin Avenue.
The chain explains the restrictions by stating that purchasing more than 5 kg is considered wholesale. In "Magnit," weight vegetables are considered wholesale from 10 kilograms.
According to Sverdlovskstat, the average price of fresh cucumbers currently stands at 146 rubles, notes EAN.
Cucumbers priced at 59 rubles were spotted recently by a Uralweb.ru correspondent in "Pyaterochka." At the same time, customers did not believe such luck (that is, the price tag) and asked passing store employees why it was so cheap, since the tomatoes lying nearby still cost four times more than the cucumbers.
