A chef from Baku was detained in Koltsovo with 20 liters of sauce.
Customs officers at Koltsovo Airport detained a foreign chef who attempted to bring 20 liters of narsharab sauce from Baku without declaration. This was reported by the press service of the Ural Customs Administration.
— In the "green corridor" of the customs control zone, inspectors stopped a citizen who had arrived from the capital of Azerbaijan. During the inspection, they found two ten-liter plastic bottles of sauce weighing over 21 kilograms in total, the agency clarified.
The passenger works as a chef in a cafe in Chita and brought the sauce for fish at the request of the establishment's director. Narsharab was purchased at the Baku market for use in his work. The man was unaware that goods not for personal use must be declared.
Considering the volume of the imported product and the explanations of the violator, Koltsovo customs officials initiated an administrative offense case against him under the article "Non-declaration of goods." This article provides for a fine ranging from half to double the value of the goods.
Previously, foreigners brought 9 kg of nasvay in juice boxes "for personal needs" to Koltsovo.
