Sverdlovsk residents working in the budget sector collected 400 backpacks for the wounded receiving treatment in local hospitals.

The Governor of Sverdlovsk Region Denis Pasler thanked everyone who participated in the project "Middle Ural - To Our Heroes," aimed at supporting Sverdlovsk fighters undergoing treatment in military hospitals. This was reported on Thursday by the Department of Information Policy of Sverdlovsk Region.

"Typically, the guys end up in the hospital from the front lines and most often without personal belongings. Therefore, the basic set packed in a backpack is very timely. It includes not only clothing and footwear but also communication devices and useful gear," explained the purpose of the project "Middle Ural - To Our Heroes" Denis Pasler.

Each set includes everything necessary for a comfortable stay in the hospital: a warm jacket, fleece suit, T-shirt, shorts, shoes, a hygiene kit, smartphone, headphones, thermos mug, and an external portable charger - a total of 28 items.

"I thank everyone who participated in the project 'Middle Ural - To Our Heroes.' Together we collected over 400 backpacks. Since the fighters confirm that these items are needed, we will prepare the next batch," said the governor.

Sverdlovsk civil servants and employees of state institutions donated over 14.6 million rubles for the purchase of the sets. The project involved 21 executive bodies of state power in Sverdlovsk Region and five subordinate state institutions.

The project "Middle Ural - To Our Heroes" was launched in the summer of 2025 by Denis Pasler at the suggestion of the "Humanitarian Volunteer Corps."
