From June 12 to June 17, the traffic scheme for several tram and trolleybus routes in Yekaterinburg will change. The restrictions are related to the repair of tram tracks at the intersection of Mashinostroiteley Street and Cosmonauts Avenue.
As reported by city services, the work will begin at 00:00 on June 12 and will be completed by 05:00 on June 17. During the repair, tram traffic will be completely closed on Cosmonauts Avenue from the "Kuznetsova Street" stop to the "Pedagogical University" stop in both directions.
Due to the restrictions, the routes of trams No. 5, 8, and 24 will be temporarily changed. Tram No. 5 will run through the streets of Frezeryshchikov, Starykh Bolshevikov, Frontovykh Brigad, Cosmonauts Avenue, Ural'skaya, Blyukhera, and Shartash.
Tram No. 8 will pass through Mashinostroiteley, Donbasskaya, Baku Commissioners, Pobedy, Kuznetsova, 1st Five-Year Plan Square, Elmas, Entuziastov, Starykh Bolshevikov, Frontovykh Brigad, Cosmonauts, Lunacharskogo, Lenina, Gagarina, Malysheva, and Syromolotova.
Tram No. 24 will follow from 7 Klyuchey through Tekhnicheskaya, Bebel, Donbasskaya, Pobedy, Kuznetsova, and Mashinostroiteley to 1st Five-Year Plan Square.
In addition, during the repair period, trolleybus traffic will be closed on Cosmonauts Avenue from Pobedy Street to Mashinostroiteley, as well as on Mashinostroiteley Street to 1st Five-Year Plan Square.
The changes will affect trolleybuses No. 26, 29, and 32. Trolleybus No. 26 will be directed through the streets of Kommunisticheskaya, Baku Commissioners, Cosmonauts, Ilyich, Kirovgradskaya, Mashinostroiteley, Chelyuskintsev, Sverdlova, Karl Liebknecht, Malysheva, Repina, and Kraulya.
Route No. 29 will be temporarily shortened: the transport will run in a circular scheme through Kommunisticheskaya, Kalininskaya, Cosmonauts, and Baku Commissioners. Trolleybus No. 32 will be routed through Kommunisticheskaya, Baku Commissioners, Cosmonauts, Ilyich, Kirovgradskaya, Mashinostroiteley, Chelyuskintsev, Smazchikov, Sulimov, Danila Zvereva, Akademicheskaya, Mira, Pervomayskaya, and Studencheskaya.
