The chief forecaster of the Sverdlovsk region reported on what the summer will be like in the Urals.
The chief forecaster of the Ural Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring Office, Galina Sheporenko, reported that the summer of 2026 in the Urals is expected to be close to normal.
July will be the hottest month, unlike the cold July of last year. Thunderstorms, heavy rains, and hail are also expected, so she reminded once again that during a thunderstorm, one should not stay on the water, use umbrellas, or seek shelter under solitary structures.
She also noted that summer arrived this year 2-3 weeks earlier than last year, with air temperatures above normal by 6-9 degrees.
Starting Thursday, a cooling trend will begin in Yekaterinburg and the region, with temperatures dropping by 10 degrees.
The first week of June will be cool with frequent precipitation. During the day, air temperatures will be +15…20 °C, and at night +7…12 °C, which is 2-3 degrees below normal.
