The authorities of the Sverdlovsk region plan to halve the number of children in social service organizations, including orphanages, by the end of 2027. This was stated by Deputy Minister of Social Policy Olga Udartseva at the VIII All-Russian Conference "Let's Keep the Family for the Child!" in Yekaterinburg.

According to her, 59 territorial councils for the prevention of child neglect have been established in the Sverdlovsk region.
