In Nizhny Tagil, a sentence was handed down to a teenager who stabbed a woman in the entrance.
In Nizhny Tagil, a teenager was sentenced for the murder of a woman out of hooligan motives, reports the press service of the regional courts in MAH.
The guilty verdict for the 15-year-old resident of the village of Gornouralsky was delivered today, May 28, by the Prigorodny District Court. The minor was found guilty under paragraph "i" of part 2 of article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder out of hooligan motives).
As established by the court, on January 6, 2026, the teenager decided to kill any random passerby without any reason. He took a knife and went outside.
Choosing as his victim a previously unknown woman who was entering the entrance of one of the buildings, the accused followed her. In the entrance, he cold-bloodedly inflicted one stab wound to his victim's abdomen. Despite timely medical assistance, the victim died.
"The defender insisted on the acquittal of the minor. The teenager himself, in his final statement, did not admit guilt and did not repent of his actions," reports the press service of the judicial system.
The sentence—6 years and 4 months in a juvenile correctional facility with subsequent restriction of freedom for one year—was issued taking into account the limitations established by law when imposing a sentence on minors.
Additionally, in favor of the relatives of the deceased, 1,500,000 rubles in compensation for moral damage was awarded from the convicted and his legal representative.
The verdict has not yet entered into legal force and can be appealed by the parties within 15 days.
It is worth noting that initially, the defendant was only charged with attempted murder and was placed under house arrest, from which he escaped.
