Law enforcement officials have detained Dmitry Semizorov, the deputy general director of the Uralvagonzavod concern for special equipment. He has been charged with embezzlement. This was reported by RBC, citing sources.
— The criminal case is being investigated by the Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia in Moscow. It was initiated on October 28, 2025, insiders from RBC noted.
According to the investigation, violations occurred during the implementation of contracts related to the supply of climate equipment for the defense industry. According to Ura.Ru, in June 2016, the institute signed a contract with LLC "FSK Progress" for the supply of equipment worth 132.1 million rubles, although the actual price of the equipment was about 78 million rubles. The investigation believes that the difference of more than 50 million rubles was embezzled and cashed out by the participants in the scheme.
Now Semizorov is charged with embezzlement in a particularly large amount. He could face up to 10 years in prison. Testimonies against the deputy general director of the holding were given by two other individuals involved in the case. One of them is under a restriction of certain actions, while the other is under house arrest.
