Strong winds "thinned out" the sign of the Greenwich shopping mall in Yekaterinburg.

      Residents of Yekaterinburg shared footage in city public groups showing the damage inflicted on the city during yesterday's hurricane winds.

      As previously reported, in the Akademicheskiy district, a construction fence was blown down, burying a man underneath it.

      It turned out that there were three such incidents in the area — on Akademika Parina Street, a similar story occurred on Akademika Landau Street. On Ryabinina Street, a metal profile struck a man right in the middle of the roadway. Fortunately, there were no casualties.

      From the old school building at the corner of 8 Marta and Furmanova Streets, the wind tore off a sheet of roofing iron, which hung between the sky and the ground.

      In Traktoristov Lane, the roof of the polytechnic college was severely damaged, subscribers of the "Evil Yekaterinburg 18+" channel report.

      In the Southwest, the bad weather blew away a kiosk, scattering its parts over a radius of several meters. In Akademicheskiy, the wind scattered heavy street benches.

      Throughout the city, the wind tore off branches and broke tree trunks, with some, like on Kosmonavtov Avenue, being uprooted from the ground.

      And in the center of Yekaterinburg, the sign of the Greenwich shopping center was caught in the force of the elements. The iron structure itself held up, but it lost part of its letters, with photos published by E1.RU.
