The main event of the tournament was the title fight in the light heavyweight division (up to 79.4 kg), where world champion Dmitry Bivol defended the WBA, IBF, and The Ring belts against mandatory challenger Michael Eifert.
From the first minutes, Bivol took the initiative and already in the opening round sent his opponent to the canvas. The champion met Eifert with a hook, after which the German boxer found himself on the ring floor. The challenger managed to continue the fight and in the second round tried to act more actively, but Bivol confidently controlled the situation.
In the second half of the fight, Bivol increased his activity, finally gaining the advantage. In the closing rounds, the German boxer had to withstand serious pressure, but he managed to hold on until the final bell.
The outcome of the fight was not in doubt: all three judges awarded the victory to Bivol. Thus, Dmitry Bivol successfully defended the WBA, IBF, and The Ring titles in the light heavyweight division, winning by unanimous decision.
