Details of the accident involving a "Gazelle" near Beloyarka, in which two people died, have become known.
The driver of the "Gazelle," who died along with his passenger in an accident on the federal highway Yekaterinburg-Shadrinsk-Kurgan near Beloyarka, was attempting to bypass a traffic jam in violation of the rules, the regional traffic police reported.
The driver of the cargo van "Gazelle" tried to bypass the traffic jam on the shoulder, after which he turned left onto a secondary road and collided with a Renault truck that was moving in the opposite direction, reports "KP-Yekaterinburg." The impact caused the "Gazelle" to be thrown onto an Opel Zafira that was traveling in the same direction.
The driver of the "Gazelle," a 49-year-old man, and his 51-year-old passenger died at the scene, while the other participants in the accident, a 47-year-old Renault driver and a 55-year-old Opel Zafira driver, were unharmed.
It has been established that the deceased driver had previously been held administratively responsible for traffic violations 10 times. A forensic medical examination has been appointed to determine the state of the man at the time of the accident.
