The hockey club "Avtomobilist" has signed a contract with Belarusian goalkeeper Lorens Zinaddin. The player moved to the Yekaterinburg team as a result of a trade with Nizhny Novgorod's "Torpedo," reports "Ъ-Ural."
Lorens Zinaddin was born in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), but at the age of six months, he moved with his family to Belarus.
The goalkeeper is now 21 years old. He previously played in the MHL and VHL.
The contract with the player is for one year—until May 31, 2027, the club's press service reported.
On Sunday, May 31, "Avtomobilist" announced that after the expiration of the contracts, six players would leave the club. These are defenders Maxim Osipov and Yuri Pautov, as well as forwards Brooks Meisak, Alexey Byvalcev, Stepan Kripunov, and Danil Romantsev.
It was previously reported that Chelyabinsk's "Traktor" got rid of all Western legionnaires in the squad. Before that, Khabarovsk's "Amur" went down the same path.
