The benefit is available to working parents with two or more children whose income is less than 1.5 times the regional subsistence minimum. Thus, as of June 1, funds have been allocated for more than 1,200 applicants.
After submitting an application to the Social Fund, specialists review the application within 10 working days, and then five days are allocated for the transfer.
Also, to receive the benefit, each parent must be employed and officially pay personal income tax in the year preceding the application year, parents must be citizens of Russia, permanently reside in the country, be tax residents, and have no outstanding child support obligations.
If the family meets the criteria, they can apply for a tax recalculation at a rate of 6%. The Social Fund of Russia will refund the difference of 7% from the paid personal income tax to the bank account.
It was previously reported that the right to receive the benefit will be granted not only to parents but also to adoptive parents, guardians, and caretakers raising two or more children. The benefit will be provided to families with children under 18 years old or up to 23 years old if they are studying full-time at a college or university.
